Obtuvo el grado de Ingeniero en Sistemas Computacionales por el Tecnológico Nacional de México, en 2007, así como los grados de Maestro y Doctor en Ciencias de la Computación por la Unidad Tamaulipas del Cinvestav, en 2009 y 2014, respectivamente. Previo a su incorporación a la Unidad Tamaulipas en 2018, laboró como Investigador Asociado para la Universidad de Manchester (2015 – 2017) y para la Universidad Liverpool John Moores (2017 – 2018), en Reino Unido. Desde 2018, es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, contando actualmente con la distinción de Investigador Nacional Nivel 1 (Área VII – Ingenierías).

Proyectos relevantes:

• Desarrollo de métodos de computación evolutiva multi-objetivo con módulo automatizado de toma de decisiones y su aplicación a tres problemas prácticos difíciles de diferentes dominios. Proyecto No. 262 del Fondo SEP-Cinvestav de Apoyo a la Investigación, 2018.
