At the DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY, BIOPHYSICS AND NEUROSCIENCE of the CENTER OF RESEARCH AND ADVANCED STUDIES in Mexico City for a research scientist in Cellular Physiology, Neuroscience, or Systems Physiology, broadly defined.

1. Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
2. PhD degree in any area of the Biomedical Sciences.
3. Two years (minimum) of postdoctoral experience in a prestigious Institution.
4. A minimum of six publications in prestigious journals, with first or corresponding authorship in at least a third of them.
5. Three reference letters sent directly to Dr. Jorge Quevedo.
6. A 3-year research proposal (maximum ten pages).

Note: Preference will be given to young age. Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.

Candidates’ desirable profile:

1. Publications in highly reputable journals.
2. Experience in obtaining research funding.
3. Teaching experience.

Successful candidates will:

1. Establish an independent research line.
2. Participate in our post-graduate teaching program.
3. Collaborate in academic-administrative duties.
